About Us

At Good Earth we believe that communication is a basic human right and every person should have an easily accessible and respected way to communicate.

We are an neurodivergent led business and have a neurodivergent team who understand the importance and strength of difference in experience, thinking and learning.

We provide neuroaffirming Speech Pathology support through a strengths based and trauma informed lens.

We support participants with a variety of complex communication needs from age three and up. We currently accept referrals from self managed or plan managed NDIS participants or private fee paying clients.

Good Earth Therapy is a child safe trained and prioritised organisation.

How we deliver our services

There is no 'one way' for therapy as every client is different. We are proud to offer flexible and tailored support. Below are some ways we can do this:

Peer or Group based therapy

We are passionate about linking in our clients with those who have shared interests or connecting them with other neurodivergent peers with similar goals. We have a strong belief in groups being a comfortable place for people to practise their own communication style in a natural setting and do not agree or align ourselves with traditional 'social skills' training.

We currently facilitate an adult communication group and are beginning a literacy based group for young struggling readers (stay tuned!).

1:1 Therapy

We currently run our 1:1 therapy sessions in blocks of 6-8 weeks. This allows time for reflection of client focused goals, where we discuss a plan of action that could include more therapeutic input via 1:1 sessions or another mode of delivery such as parent capacity building.

Carer sessions

We understand that communication with key people in our participants life is the best way for therapeutic support to occur. This could include parent or carer upskilling sessions and support worker, teacher or educator strategic meetings.

Where we deliver our services

Everyone is different and we recognise that there are barriers and preferences that may impact our clients ability to attend clinic based sessions. We are passionate about delivering flexibility of location.

School sessions

We work closely with schools and educators and can provide sessions with schools who are able to accommodate therapist visitations

Home Visits

We are able to visit our participants in their home setting

In our clinic

We have a wonderful clinic space that can accommodate family, adult and child sessions

In community

We work closely with support staff in support homes, aged care facilities, bail accomodation and day programs

Remote Communities we service

We provide speech therapy services to a small number of remote communities to ensure that we provide a greater frequency of service.

We visit the below communities on an atleast monthly to fortnightly basis. We offer Telehealth services in the interim of visits and are passionate about focusing upon supporting the carers and educators who see our participants everyday for the most effective and impactful change.
