Georgia

Director, Speech Pathologist and Narrative Therapist

I am a neurodivergent speech pathologist and all of my beliefs around holistic supports are from my own lived experiences as a neurodivergent woman. I believe that people are the experts in their own lives and that the people who come to see me make equal contribution to the therepeautic relationship. We always have something to learn and I am grateful to be living on beautiful country where learning opportunities are endless!

I have a Masters in Narrative Therapy and Community work and I am a registered counsellor with the ACA. I am passionate about incorporating Narrative Therapy principles into my Speech Pathology work,.

I have received additional training in the following approaches - Responsive Feeding House Model, Talking Mats, Gestalt Language Processing and the Natural Language Acquisition framework, Key Word Sign.

I have extensive AAC experience and have both attended and ran workshops around implement neuroaffirming practise. I am MIGDAS/(sensory based Autism assessment) trained and hold a Graduate Certificate in the diagnosis and assessment of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders.

I am very very passionate about implementing a neuroaffirming and supportive workplace. I recognise the privileged position I hold working in Mparntwe and prioritise cultural learning through supervision with local Elders and cultural people.

In my free time I spend a lot of time with my birds - my  cockatiel - Chickpea and budgie - Joey at home. They are my long time special interest!
